The timing is still bad, nothing really on the job front. Looking and applying, but there isn't much going on right now because of the holidays. Goof told me a few things about the silverback. Things that silverback did, and he even asked Goof for help on. Things that would kill his marriage and ruin his chances of future promotions. I'm still at the point that Johttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16506466523693854871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293616529982434558.post-34246327556930991792009-12-23T11:32:00.000-08:002009-12-23T11:40:02.028-08:00Miserable ChristmasLet's just put it this way, there would be less stress and a more joyful Christmas if it wasn't for frigging Good Ole Boy Southerners who close in and protect rank. I'm not past the bitterness yet. Fricking 2 weeks before Christmas, a week before Stinky's birthday. May they all rot in hell, and everything bad happen to them. Also somethings you just rather forget. Stinky struggled with school, it was just so difficult to get him to recognize that school requires participation. It's not just a social setting. We had to put him in summer school to move on to the next grade. This did not sit well with anyone. I enrolled in a computer class and I've Johttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16506466523693854871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293616529982434558.post-62936242952727659572009-05-02T12:15:00.000-07:002009-05-02T13:41:10.169-07:00Another toilet incidentThe other day Stinky has been playing outside and Whinus has been out and about. Stinky has an understanding with the boy, and so how children are able to behave better than adults. Unfortunately, this also means that Whinus has not taken any clues about his need to use our powder room. It was dark and late, we had called Stinky back into the house. I took the cart for my weekly lunch with Neville's mom. Just the usual chatter about our boys and their struggles to perform well in school, and socialize with their peers appropriately. I'm worried about how Stinky and his friends talk to each other. They use derogatory names. Calling each other idiot, fag, or asshole. I don't like it. Actually the weekend was fantastic too. Warm 70*F days, the early signs of spring. Also I found a dandelion in the front lawn. Stinky had a good weekend. He was able to play outside Sat, saw Watchmen with Big Red and spend the night at his house. Sunday was another great day for him. He got to spend the day hanging out with the new neighbor girl, and got me to Johttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16506466523693854871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293616529982434558.post-64779351987655415592009-03-06T08:32:00.000-08:002009-03-06T09:17:27.149-08:00Another crazy neighborAbout 3 weeks ago Goof stayed home for the day. About 2 1/2 hours before Stinky was to come home he noticed a dog running around in the street barking and chasing cars. Goof gets anal about people and dogs on the front lawn, so he wasn't pleased, and I think he was bored. Around the time the elementary kids got home the dog was still barking and wandering around the cul de sac. Thunder snow! It had been raining on Friday and Saturday, and we were given the forecast of snow for Sunday, and we got snow! It was a very wet snow, and there was thunder and lightning associated with it. We got 4 inches of snow. I was pretty amazed that we got more than 1 inch. We made a snowman, and tried to sled in it. Sunny days, opened the windows and aired out the house. I can't wait for a constant supply of warmer days.Hmmm, Goof says I have mastered the art of meat loaf. I'm looking forward to it. We may have an early spring or not. One thing I'm concerned about is the chance of severe thunderstorms. Yesterday was lovely and we decided to splurge and frill some steaks and shrimp outside. We also ate on the patio too. One thing I know for certain; use the costco folding table and not the narrow table. I just felt really crappy, and Goof noticed that I had a fever that night. So Wednesday I curled up and slept most of the day, same with yesterday. I'm feeling human today. I'm still freezing, and we might get some flurries on Tuesday. Snow! While it's all lovely when you have very little, it's pretty bad up North. I'm sure there are more to come, no snow yet. It's been too cold for snow! What I feared is an ice storm. It may still be in the works. We had a nice mild weekend. It was rainy drizzly this morning. Chinese New Year is here! It's the year of the Ox! We had a subdued New Years Eve dinner. I spent most of the day in the kitchen though. We put up the tree and the door wreath, and pretty much relaxed. Stinky made out as usual. We got him some gifts he likes, and I was able to get some pretty nice sweaters, shirt and tie for Goof. He got me a pretty big gift. A set of Global knives, and an 11 slot steel block. We had Egg, his wife, her parents and brother, plus my parents. A full house. Mom and Dad were okay, well Mom was. Dad was like a bored kid. Most of the time I really don't care it's just noise. But last week, we caught the last 5 min of an interview with a questionable author. A caller made a comment in agreement with the author. It was a book about how women should care for her man. Now I don't really care about that stuff. Honestly, don't read the book if you Johttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16506466523693854871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293616529982434558.post-56677614095241033012008-09-30T06:12:00.000-07:002008-09-30T06:23:14.044-07:00Gas CrisisI gotta rant about this. Why wasn't an emergency preparedness plan put in place after Hurricane Katrina? In one hundred years no one would admit or realize the dangers to New Orleans. Okay I get it. But the state never implemented a gas plan in case something should happen to our fuel supplies? Atlanta gets it's gas from two pipelines. Both lines were affected by hurricanes Ike and Gustav.Johttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16506466523693854871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293616529982434558.post-8203159779285168772008-09-18T18:32:00.000-07:002008-09-18T18:35:10.592-07:00It's on bitch! The war has begun. Well he and his half brothers were milling around he managed to yank the limb off and he dropped it on my side. It's not like he didn't know I was out there. Lulu was barking and growling at him. I would love to try something similar to Carol of French Laundry at Home, but I deal with two males, who aren't so understanding or experimental. By the way I still hate Babymama and her brood. Tired of that dramaqueen staring at us. I mowed the front lawn today, and it looks good of course. We went out to run some errands and when we came back that bastard was staring at us.
