What the heck is this yellow stuff?
It's the beginning of 'Yellow Season'. There is pollen in the air and it's thick. The pollen count is at about 5400. This is not common in the East Bay. Perhaps the count will go up to 150, but not this high. There are no bay breezes to blow the stuff away, and the sheer volume of trees here is amazing. I went to get gas this morning and washed my winshield. Not more than 5 hours later, the coating was back, a even coating of yellow. All the cars parked and on the road have this yellow coating on it. It reflects back yellow in the sun even. It's so thick you can see it falling from the sky. It's like smog almost in the air. I'm not sure how I will survive. I think this is the season that will make or break us. It's just a diligent usage of Flonase, Claritin, and Zaditor. The dogs go out and roll and come back with yellow in their fur. They need baths before they even lay on any upholostered furniture. This is supposed to last for another 4 weeks. God this is just miserable.
