Yesterday I got up at and spent my morning on the phone. Doctor's appointments, and all that. Then we had to run out to do the car registrations, and check our credit on the water bill. After those were done, it was time to head out to the largest frickin strip mall in the state for a birthday gift. Goof has hit the end of his 30's. It's all down hill from here, ha ha. Well, I found him some nice Ray Bans. He needs some new ones, since the Arnette got broken. He likes them, but Stinky was also right, he would have loved to get another guitar for Guitar Hero. I guess that would have gone well too. We went out to dinner nothing fancy but dinner it was. Of course he had to have a birthday dessert so I made a nectarine and plum crisp with lots of sweet oat topping to go with that half gallon of double vanilla ice cream. Hey, he got the cake at work. I'm still dealing with a dirty kitchen.
We had come home from our errands, eating lunch and preparing for the chores we had to get done, and the doorbell rings. It was Stinky's friend from school. So of course they showed up unexpected, but Stinky has been wanting to play with him. In he and his mom come, and I ended up spending the rest of the afternoon chatting with her. I just kept her out of the kitchen where the major mess was. It was bad enough that the floors needed to be swept, and washed, carpet to be vacuumed, and sofa covers needed to be straightened and Febreezed. Not my finest moment.
Today I'm taking Whinis, and Droopy to the Asian market. That ought to be fun. Well, we'll see how that goes. I guess I don't have much patience for younger kids now. Heck mine is past that stage so I just don't do so well with them.
Goof mentioned something he saw last night. It seems Eldest and Bug are sharing a room again. He says he saw Kiosk man's daughter, so she's either visiting or staying. Ha ha! I'm still bitter about it all, can you tell? Every time something pops up that's not so pleasant for them, I give a little smile. Hey they made my kid cry. What am I suppose to feel?
