HMO?
I have grown up as a child of Kaiser. Everything was done in house. Doctors, labs, even hospital services. So now I find myself in a position where I have an HMO. What the hell does that mean? I am now one of the millions that complain about HMOs. Prescriptions, I grew up paying a small fee for a 3 month supply. Now I find out I can only get one month supplies in drugstores, instead of same office locations, and I pay a lot more. This sucks. I got so spoiled by paying only $5 for 27 Maxalt MLT. Now I can only get 3 for $10, or 9 at $25 through the mail. This is when I hate the south. Well I hate that Kaiser is not as large and invasive as CA. The plus side is that I can now go to a doctor in town, instead of driving on the freeway to a medical center. Even if we had stayed with Kaiser out here, I would have had a 45 min drive to the nearest Kaiser center. Oh yea, the plans have changed in CA. But still it was a better deal there. Perhaps it was just because I worked for the health plan, and I never had to pay premiums and all that. Oh man, I was so spoiled. Now I have to find and call for an appointment for Stinky. Seems he needs a vaccination for school. Joy.
