Smack dab in the middle of the bubble

Have I mentioned how much I love my house? Not the inside that is a work in progress, but my backyard? Not the half acre that needs to be mowed, but the visitors I get daily! Deer! Lots of them. I seen a herd walk through my yard. I know that sometimes they sleep in the green belt behind my storage shed. Here it is, almost time for the elementary kids to get out of school, and 3 deer just walked through my yard! Some days, I'm not too fond of them. Like when it's 6am and they feel the need to make a racket walking through the brush and mulch. Luckily, they don't leave too much poop as for my dogs to feel the need to roll in it. I am in awe of the beauty of deer. Last Friday, we had to come to a complete stop on our busy highway because a momma deer and her baby wanted to cross. Stinky said the momma was taking her baby to school, like I was taking him to school. It's absolutely fantastic. Goof was looking at deer attractant to bring them into our yard. Deer attractant you ask? Yea, we were at Walmart and it's almost deer hunting season. Sometimes I think it would be pretty neat to have a salt lick for the deer.

Back to the human problems again. Fred was at it again on Tuesday and Wednesday. He was kicking debris and pine cones. Also he picked up a rock and threw it. Luckily it didn't hit Stinky or Big Red. We sent an email to the school, and I talked to the vice principal too. I also talked to Neville's mom trying to get more helpful hints on stopping this kid. The vice principal, says since we live in a different city, the sheriff dept is limited in what they can do, but Fred doesn't know this, so with that in mind, the vice principal talked to him. I also called the transportation dept and left a message, and with the city police dept. An officer just called me back. He says if it continues, then we have the option to call them, and they would speak to the boy and his grandmother about his behavior and actions. Otherwise what I am doing is correct in following all the rules. Neville's mom says I need to pull up my socks and go talk to Enabler. Tell her this is what's going on, you need to make it stop and this is what I'm willing to do. Alternate picking up my son from school, so the two will never ride the bus together in the afternoons. While that is a great solution, Goof doesn't believe it will work. He is correct. Enabler and her family really never follow through on anything. It isn't convenient for her or the two lazy adult children in her home. He believes if it did happen within a month she would stop picking him up, and say that her grandson, isn't causing any trouble. Well yea, he's not given the chance to. Stinky doesn't want to be picked up after school. He's got friends on the bus. The girl he likes is on the bus too. He likes that measure of freedom. I told him it would not be a problem to also pick up Big Red and Kittie Kat too. They could socialize in the car and enjoy their time together that way also. He doesn't want to see me waiting for him at the bus stop or at the street corner. Right now my option I'm giving him, is to take the car and wait at the side street and watch them walk home. With a video camera ready. This is fine with me. I am sure the residents on that street will start to wonder what I'm doing, but I have notified the police, and told them what I was doing. That can't get me in trouble. Goof is also planning on writing a very plain spoken, letter to Enabler. Stating all we know about that family. The internet is a powerful tool. We know the reason why his mother isn't in the picture. As Goof says, he knows the police have come by and checked on the house, and it's residents. All the skeletons have come out of the closet.

On another note. Neville and his mother are coming over tomorrow for a play date. They've been warned that the powder room is out of commission. The wall paper is half off. When Goof re textures the family room there will be no visitors. We said forget peeling off the wall paper on that. Just texture, and paint. Hmm wonder what color we should go for there.

I've been sewing a bit again. I made Lulu a jammie out of flannel. Not good, not enough stretch. I picked up some sweatshirt material so that should work nicely and some lovely material for a dog bed cover. I need to finish a cover for Neville. I told his mother I would make their dog a bed, and one for Neville too. Hey I need an excuse to sew. It's easy anyways.

I still need to put up the bookshelves. Gosh I'm lazy. Let's hope I get that done next week.
