My first snow!

DSC02719.JPG

Growing up in CA, it was nothing to drive a few hours northeast and play in the snow at Tahoe, or Squaw. To live in an area where the stuff actually comes down in the backyard is fun. We had our rare snow yesterday afternoon. It was fluffy and tiny, then it got big, then icy, then back to fluffy. It took about an hour before it stuck to the ground. We got maybe 1/16 of an inch of snow cover. Enough for the boys to run around outside and scoop ice balls calling them snowballs. Those lumps of ice hurt!

Unfortunately, it melted away today. I can only hope that the snow might make a return tomorrow. There wasn't enough snow, and the temperature did not stay below freezing so Stinky didn't get a snow day. Oh well, there just wasn't enough snow anyways to try and sled.

Lulu was really a good sport about being out in the snow.
