One step towards less fuel usage

We made the decision and investment in getting a golf cart. It took almost two years for us to finally get one. I think we are on the farther edge of average before finally making this purchase. I'm sure there are many residents who don't have a cart and never consider one as the cons outweigh the pros for them. I'm starting to think if you do anything within seven miles of home, it's worth it. I read a news blurb, that it's not unlikely to see $7-10 per gallon of gas in the next two years. This has got to get people demanding alternative fuel sources, and I'm not talking about corn. Food is expensive enough. Goof says he's probably going to take Das Panzerwagon to work more often when it gets very hot. The afternoon heat is just exacerbated with his truck sitting in the sun all day, versus mine which is lighter and reflects more heat. I have errands to run in the cart tomorrow. Registration, library, post office, and still take Stinky to school and back. He's getting the hang of driving the cart. We need a few items installed on the cart, and hopefully they will arrive before Friday. We plan on wandering around town, watching the parade, and the fireworks at the lake later that evening.
