The yard sale of '07

Much head scratching went on Thursday. I had mentioned that I mowed the front lawn that day. Well after I had finished, Baby Mama, and Kiosk Man came out. In the midday sun. They were moving stuff around and whatever. Just seemed like it was an obvious attempt to avoid me. Strange, what am I going to do? So Friday morning, Goof tells me as he's getting ready for work, it looks like they are gonna have a yard sale. Shelves out and items placed on them. Whatever. So he leaves for work, and we enjoy our morning. I take Stinky to school, and when I come back, it's obvious that the Meth Addict on the main street is having one, and there is a sign on our street pole for a 'Rummage Sale' Enabler and Baby Mama got together to have this sale. So, I left my front door closed most of the day, and went out to the backyard and proceeded to mow half an acre. It took me 2 hours, and that was not including blowing the grass bits. From what I saw not much was sold by either women.

When Stinky came home, he told me Fred was trying to start shit again. It seems as he was walking home with Big Red, he asked what was going on with the yard sales. Fred, was walking behind the boys about 5 ft back answered, "I guess you didn't get the memo. Why aren't you having one? I guess your family isn't interested in money" Unfortunately Stinky forgot to ignore Fred, and responded with a comment of his dad making enough, without having a yard sale. Seriously what the fuck? The only part that pisses me off, is that Bug and his brother didn't acknowledge Stinky. They purposely ignored him and greeted Fred. This is really telling of their family. What high moral grounds they must have to come to this.

Goof and I talked a little about this. We really have no idea how this came to pass. What happened while we were gone for the funeral? What happened while we were in CA? Whatever happened cemented their bonds of hill billy inferiority. It is something that we can't fix, nor willing to. Right now, we just get a lot of humor watching them. Goof thinks Kiosk man is doing light hauling to make money on the side, and it certainly looks like it. Baby Mama wears the same two pieces of clothing when I see her out. Well these last two days it looks like there are some new pieces to her wardrobe.

Oh, back to the yard sales. Yesterday, it looked like they gave up on having yard sales. They took the sign down, and nothing was brought out. Well Enabler had someone take most of the her junk away. Baby Mama and family went away for the day, and we didn't hear their dog barking on the deck. Stinky and I played badminton most of the afternoon, enjoying our grass. The dogs were sunbathing and being silent cheerleaders. Well, money is important to us, we just don't have a lot of useless junk, nor do we have a need to show everyone what trivial things we waste our money on, then have the urge to recoup pennies on the dollar for general store merchandise.

Perhaps Baby Mama and family are in the process of cleaning up to move? While, I'm not certain what element would move in, good or bad. They are familiar. They don't really matter in the scheme of things because Eldest and Bug are too young for Stinky to want to play with anymore. It's Fred, that needs to move. He needs help, he needs to be away from Stinky before his jealousies get worse. Poor Eldest, we have noticed he's gained a bit of weight this past summer. It doesn't look like he's grown much in height. I guess, they haven't had much chance to truly exercise. Neither of the adults are the type to take walks. I admit we live a sedentary lifestyle ourselves, but we do exercise what is considered moderately. Genetics was cruel to them.
