My bones hurt!

I think I really liked the Georgia heat. It's almost 10pm and it's 45*F outside and my joints ache from the cold. The dogs had to potty and I put them on the deck. I stood out there with them, and the cold was seeping into me! I'm not looking forward to winter. Days where the temp never goes above 35* is not cool. Last year when it was that cold, I was complaining at work that I needed to unplug my fridge and push it outside. Honestly, I keep my fridge at 34* and there where nights when it had fell to single digit temps. I could open the freezer too those nights! I don't like Georgia in the winter, it's too cold it's better to go back to the Bay Area and it's high 50's and low 60's days. It's a pretty easy choice. 58* in the day or 35*? Plus no ice during the day!
Poor Lulu and Mingy. When they come back in, I touch their skinny little feet and the pads feel like ice. Cold dog noses get colder and you truly get a wet willie when they decide to clean your ears. Lulu has been digging in my jacket trying to get me to bundle her up. Even with their coats on. Mingy was digging in the blankets trying to warm up.

I too am named Jo. I am Martha Jo. From San Jose, CA living in Oklahoma City.
I will never feel at home here. The people are just different. Their language is different. I feel like a fish out of water.

I typed in my bones hurt and it brought me to this website.
Just thought I would make a comment to you and let you know that your not the only Jo who is having some relocation blues.
