Sometimes you just can't talk about it

Lord help me, so much has happened, yet not enough has happened. Also somethings you just rather forget.

Stinky struggled with school, it was just so difficult to get him to recognize that school requires participation. It's not just a social setting. We had to put him in summer school to move on to the next grade. This did not sit well with anyone.

I enrolled in a computer class and I've done well with it. In fact I plan to enroll as a part time to full time student. I can't say for certain how soon this will happen, but baby steps for me.

We repaired and painted the front porch, and since the drought was declared over, power washed the house. My lawn looks quite nice and Babymama's lawn still looks like crap, but hey she doesn't have to mow any longer, she has dramaqueen do it. Stinky is on friendly terms with him, but I still don't trust them.

Our new neighbors are quite nice. Their daughter calls me Mom, and spends a lot of time over here, that's fine with me, I don't mind much. Their dog scares the bejeebus out of me though. It's a boxer and it is very loud when one comes over. It looks like it wants to eat us. It's old and growls when it feels like it. Not the safest feeling if you ask me.

The new ones at Enabler's house are just as bad as the grandchildren. We've taken to calling the woman Jugs. Well she's got huge fake tits, skin like bad old leather, and just as dark. She spends her day on the front porch drinking and smoking. Seems to be her goal in life is to mooch off anyone she can. Her daughter is just as lazy and very much of an attention seeking brat. Let's say I've had some experiences with her, that made up my mind that they are definitely of the wrong ilk.

We had my friend from SC visit us for the 4th of July week. I have to say never again. It took her 7 years to come see us, and honestly if I knew what I do now, it should have been another 7 years for her to visit, then my son and house would be safer. It was not a good visit. The house still shudders at the thought of her girls. Stinky still sees red. I see red when I think about it. Perhaps in another month I can talk about it without getting angry.

I'm displeased with Neville and his father. I learned that his father is a very uptight jerk from his comments and lack of effort to try to be friendly. I'm disappointed with Neville's mother as I felt the comments made were not appropriate and there is a riff between us now, and that those words cannot be rescinded. Stinky doesn't want to see him. Not that I blame him.

Mom came for a 10 day visit. She left today. It was wonderful to see her, and it was a pleasant visit with her. We walked and talked, did a bit of shopping, mainly for food, and just had a wonderful time. Well I did. I hope she did too. She is in Manhattan now, spending time with Egg and his wife. Looking forward to the new baby. Me too. I made a baby quilt for them. I hope they like it and I certainly have fond wishes and positive thoughts for mom and baby. Now I wonder what they will name her.

Another crazy neighbor

About 3 weeks ago Goof stayed home for the day. About 2 1/2 hours before Stinky was to come home he noticed a dog running around in the street barking and chasing cars. Goof gets anal about people and dogs on the front lawn, so he wasn't pleased, and I think he was bored. Around the time the elementary kids got home the dog was still barking and wandering around the cul de sac. The dog blocked Bug from entering the street, so he went to a neighbor's house instead I guess to wait him out. This was also the same day we saw Fred. Fred was chased by this dog too. Of course, we didn't care what happened to those two, their parents or guardians can take care of this. This is the same dog I was told to mind my own business with last summer. But Goof started to worry that this dog would attack Stinky. So he called animal control and it took them about 30 min to finally get over here. I gather the guy was able to ascertain the owner and where it lived from the tags.

A week later someone comes to the door ringing the bell and knocking. I see a woman in her late 40s early 50s. chin length curly brown hair, and harsh makeup. She looked like a drinker. This woman starts to yell at me because she got a $200 fine for her dog being cited loose, and that her dog is friendly, wouldn't hurt children, and just wanted to play with them. Oh and she was home. 2 1/2 hours of barking and you were home? Come on, the windows and doors were closed in my house, and we are well insulated, and I still heard the dog. She basically told me that I should watch out for my kid and my dogs, if I could say the same about them as she could her dog. Blaming me for her lack of responsibility. I was very flustered by this, and I didn't watch to see where she came from. Later that day, we noticed there was a card propped on the mail box. We looked at it, it was a pink thank you card. There was a card and note written in very immature spelling and writing style proclaiming her dog was a nice dog, and we were in the wrong to call animal control. Goof wrote a letter in response and wanted to put it in her mailbox, but because I wasn't sure where the woman came from, we did not follow through on it.

Now Wednesday Goof and promised to come home early to take Stinky out to the firing range. I was in the kitchen prepping dinner, and Stinky was in the living room playing on my laptop. I heard barking for a few minutes and I mentioned it to Stinky
but he did nothing about it, and neither did I. Stinky then gets a phone call from Goof. It seems he is trapped by the same dog as two weeks prior. He was standing by the truck unable to move because the dog was on our property and barking with teeth bared at Goof. Stinky goes and grabs his airsoft rifle, and goes out the front door, shooting it to scare the dog off. Goof is able to get in the house. Well then finally the woman comes out of her house. She yells for the dog and it moves toward her. Goof walks over to speak to the woman, she yells at him, that the dog is friendly. He tells her, the dog had him pinned to the truck door, he wasn't able to move forwards or backwards without the dog charging. The woman goes back into her house and grabs some hotdogs. She throws those on her lawn and the dog runs over to eat them. She does nothing else, and starts to walk back to her house. Goof asks her if this behavior is appropriate. She responds back that this isn't, but that she didn't want this behavior for her dog, and it isn't her fault he's like this. Goof tells her to take control of the dog. She yells back at him that she's trying, yet, she walks inside her house and closes the door. Goof is dumbfounded. The dog is still outside at has begun barking at him again. She comes out and yells at Goof again. He tells her that the dog must be leashed off private property, and he's an aggressive dog, and if need be Goof would call animal control. The woman responds back that they would just put the dog to sleep and again she goes back into her house. Goof starts to walk away and the dog starts to charge after him. Stinky calls out a warning and Goof turns around to stare the dog down. The woman comes out of her house again, and yells at Goof. At this point Goof has called animal control and he warns the woman, if the dog bites Stinky or me, he would shoot the dog. The woman tells him that it is illegal to have a gun in the city limits. Goof tells her, he has every right to defend his family. She threatens to call the police on him, and goes back into the house. So Goof turns to leave and again the dog charges. This time Goof had enough and he comes in and grabs our shotgun. He then takes it out to the porch and racks it. All this time, the neighbors have come out. Kioskman has come out and is smirking. Babymama's kids are looking through their front window smiling, and the new neighbors are watching this too. Once Goof racked the shotgun, Kioskman had a strange look on his face. Was he going to laugh, or shit his pants? A few moments later, the police arrive. They came in 4 cars, hands on their holsters prepared for something I guess. So you know what happens? They get charged by her dog. We figured Babymama and the woman called the police, as one squad car was in our driveway, another in Babymama's and the third one parked in front of the woman's house. Goof takes the shotgun and puts it under the sofa, and he goes looking for his gun permit. And if you know Goof, he has no idea where his wallet is. Uhm, with your pants? He finds his wallet but no license. Oh I think I washed it. What an idiot this man is. He can't put anything away in it's proper place.

So the police come to the door, and he hands the permit to the policeman. They enter the house and ask what happened. He tells them about the dog, and the police look around they see a toy bb gun on the staircase and ask is that the weapon he drew on the porch. No, it's not. Is this air soft rifle by the door the weapon? No, that was used by my son to scare the dog away so I could enter the house. Well where is the weapon? It's under the sofa. The policeman asks if he can pull it out and look at it. Of course. So the policeman reaches down under the sofa and pulls out our .22 rifle. No, that's not the weapon. The policeman reaches under again, and withdraws the HMR17. No that's not the weapon. How many guns do you have under the sofa? Just three. So the police finally pulls out the remington shotgun. Are the weapons loaded? No, only the shotgun, but it's not racked. Oh yes it is. The police unloads the shotgun. Another policeman ran a check on Goof to make sure there is nothing on file against him. Nothing there. The dog is still running around outside barking. I show the policeman the note card she left us, and what happened prior to that afternoon regarding the dog. The policeman reads the note and asks where our dogs are. They are in their crate quiet as can be. We tell the police our dogs do not go outside unsupervised or off leash on public property.

So the policeman has him write out a statement, and they go to the neighbors to get statements regarding this incident. Kioskman agreed that the dog was chasing children. The new neighbor had come home and she herself was chased by this dog. Animal control finally came and was charged by the dog too. The woman was spoken to and the dog was taken away. Well there goes her responsibility to the dog. I am gathering this dog will be put to sleep now.

The woman turned out to be the neighborhood drunk. That's why she didn't hear the dog for 2 1/2 hours, she was drunk. Goof asked me how I didn't recognize her. Well last time I saw her was 3 years ago. I don't make it a point to spend a lot of time with her.

So now the neighbors know we have guns, alongside the security cameras. Obviously Goof didn't shoot the dog, and he would have gotten into some trouble for discharging a weapon in city limits. It was just unbelievable that this woman called the police on him, and didn't bring her dog in. She dug herself one big hole. Four police witnesses, and animal control officer saw the dog behaving aggressively. This woman is just wrong.

I am hoping this is the drama for the month.

I heard a cruel and funny comment on the radio last week

We listen to a certain morning radio show on the way to school. Most of the time I really don't care it's just noise. But last week, we caught the last 5 min of an interview with a questionable author. A caller made a comment in agreement with the author. It was a book about how women should care for her man. Now I don't really care about that stuff. Honestly, don't read the book if you don't agree, or read it to carry a discussion on the pros and cons. What made me laugh was the caller was in agreement, and the issue was weight. The caller said that no man wants his partner to look like a baby elephant. Now that isn't a very nice comment, and the guy who said it was being superficial. but I can get superficial with the best of them, and the comment made me think of Babymama. A baby elephant crossed with a gorilla. I saw her the last few days and it seems she has gotten bigger. Is she pregnant? No one can tell. She didn't lose or gain weight with the last one. Yesterday was not a pretty sight. I heard yelling and from my window I could see her yelling at one of younger bastards. She was wearing a brown tank top, and black lyrca stretch pants. The ones that are made of jersey with stretch. Not the most flattering. The day before she was wearing bright pink tank top. Now I am one of those people who do not enjoy the cold. I'm wearing sweaters and turtle necks now. I don't care if it's 68*F and some people think that's perfect weather. I feel a cold breeze and I shiver. Now I look at Babymama and realize that she has no choice but to wear tank tops. Not much is going to fit around those huge limbs of flab. That's my thigh! Done with my pettiness, back to the house preparations now.

kinda sad

Yesterday I looked out the front window and saw something pretty sad. Eldest's brother Bug was outside using a small hand saw of some sort to cut the fallen tree. It's pretty sad when a 9 yo tries to cut down a fallen tree, where was Babymama? Good question, definitely not outside watching her child cut a tree with a sharp object, or helping him. If we didn't have such a poor relationship with them, we would have offered to help them. We have the equipment, but we certainly did not receive help from them when we had a big downed limb. Goof mentioned last night, that it seems like the residents on our street like to hate each other. They don't openly act out against each other, but Babymama, certainly does not welcome or help the hillbillies, and she did not care for Fred, nor wanted him to play with her precious bastards until she decided to hate us. Now it's all about Fred is a poor orphan little boy who needs her. Gee, you mean 3 years ago you didn't feel the need to act upon that wonderful feeling of need, or human kindness?

prep stuff

I've been cutting, ironing, sewing and ironing fabric for the background blocks of this quilt I'm making. It's not so bad, but I'm making of three of them. One for me, B and her mother in law. So, I'm a little short on patience and of course money. While I enjoy making them, I get irritated as I am the one fronting most of the costs, and it's my time and equipment at use. So, when B mentions things she likes or not, after I've spent 3 days cutting and sewing, I'm not so patient or willing to listen. Obviously we don't live far away, and she needs to come to my house as the materials and equipment are here. It just gets inconvenient at times. Oh come on over, but let me tell my husband to put pants on. Just trivial things like that. Anyways, I've got another two or three days worth of cutting and ironing, possibly sewing, and then I go to a class and learn how to make another quilt. So I'm gonna be juggling 2 patterns, but four quilts.

Oh it rained most of the night. Not bad, we needed it. I was so tired though. For whatever reason my dippy dog decided to bark all night. Nothing was wrong, he just didn't want to be in his room. Of course Lulu didn't make a noise, she didn't need to, he did it for her. I swear I look at the two and it's like that Nickelodeon cartoon Pinky and the Brain. Lulu is the Brain, and Mingy is Pinky. You look into his eyes, and you know you are dealing with a two celled brain. He's not mean, and very fearful. He's just very dumb and loving. He woke me up, well he woke goof up at 2am. Goof yelled at me to do something about it, I went down and checked on them, put the radio on, and went back to bed, and yelled at Goof. Then I woke up before 5am. Mingy was barking again. So I'm exhausted and grouchy. Goof had the audacity to wish me a good day, because I was grouchy last night. Huh? Who yelled at who and woke them up?

Back to the rain, I think the ground really needed the moisture. I looked out the front windows and saw a sight. Babymama and her brood were standing outside looking dumbfounded at their overturned tree. They have a tree that stands in between their side yard and hillbillies yard. This tree was dead when we first moved here, and they've never done anything about it. Well the roots must have decayed enough that there was nothing live to hold into the ground. Lucky for them, there was no damage to any of the houses or property. So I told Goof and he laughed, then we guessed how long the tree would stay there. Now I forgot to mention something that happened last month. There was a very strong T storm and it knocked a lot of debris around. They have a 6ft+ length of tree limb about 4 or 5 inches in diameter with small branches and leaves that fell by the side of their house. They haven't touched it. I have not done anything as I don't know if it came from the tree that divides our lots(also the tree is on their side) Also the limb does not encroach upon my yard, so I haven't bothered with it. So Goof thinks it will remain there until it rots or someone else takes care of it. I think in about 2 months time, she will get her brother to move it. Only because it would hinder her brood playing. It's definitely not because they want to make their property look good.

Wohoo! Is this 3 or 4?

Heard the rumblings of a lawn mower outside. I didn't get to see the jiggling saddle bags from Babymama. Kioskman took over the task this time. Temps are gonna be in the 90's, and they have their mower on the the lowest level. The grass will burn, and die. Hmmm, some point you gotta realize that a lawn grass is better than haphazard lengths of weed grass and it's seed heads.

Still can't think kindly of them, so I'm snickering as I see Kioskman has been home for at least 4 days. Nothing to it huh? Sales huh? Yea, we just came back from a mid week trip to SC. Goof had to conduct interviews for a new project he's undertaking. Stinky and I spent the time in the Hampton pool. The wifi in the hotel was rather weak. Had a fantastic seafood dinner at the Blue Marlin in Columbia. We had Chilean Sea Bass. Yea, yea I know it's not a sustainable harvest and it's being over fished. We caved. But I did pay double for wild harvested Florida pink jumbo shrimp, and wild caught sea scallops this past weekend. I don't know if the scallops were dry frozen though. I've got a few recipes I've been looking over to try.

Wish me luck, tonight I'm slow cooking dry rubbed St Louis ribs for dinner. If it doesn't work out that's alright, I also picked up some T bones for later in the week. Grilling is great when it's hot, forget turning on the oven. Though, I may have to for the southern grown peaches(it ain't from GA, probably FL. I may grill these with brown sugar and a bit of lemon juice on the grill. Otherwise, it's fruit crisp/cobbler time! I got some Ranier cherries calling me too.

It wasn't a showdown, it was a hanging

Wednesday's meeting was a chance for Babymama and Kioskman to lay blame on Stinky any trespass they could think of. Goof had told them at the beginning of the meeting, we didn't have issue with their boys it was about Fred and Stinky. Oh no, didn't matter, they wanted a chance to rant at us. We did not speak ill of their children, but they certain felt it was their right to say anything about mine. The fat bitch had the audacity to admit she called my child a 'bad seed' but would not apologize for it. She felt it was her right as a mother to say that. I bit my tongue almost clear off. I did not speak negatively at all. No bashing. It was the most fruitless discussion I had ever seen. Kioskman could not care that we were trying to work a solution out. He was talking in circles, interrupting us as we tried to speak, parroting our statements as questions. One point Goof got irritated and as a non sequiter leaned over and told Kioskman, about his two degrees. Which Kioskman got all pissy about. Then Kioskman went vulgar. Making a comment about pulling out dicks in public and seeing who's was bigger. Totally disgusted Enabler. They would not look at the video, because they did not want to see or believe any proof they were wrong. They had worked themselves up to believe they were in the moral right and we were wrong on everything.

We came away with the certain knowledge that Babymama hates me. What she should hate me for I have no idea. I never damaged her property, or caused her children distress by allowing mine to physically attack them. I was told by her I spend all my time in my house. I think someone is watching my comings and goings too closely. They might need to get out of the house more. I talked to some friends about this and so did Goof. The consensus is the woman is jealous. I have had a career, I'm married, my child was born in wedlock, I only have one child, my car is a nicer one, and we all refer to it as mine, and I'm not burdened with her unfortunate genetics. Oh, and I don't have to lie about owning my house when step-daddy manages it, and lets her live there at a reduced rent, nor do I have need to be unmarried to collect welfare or Peachcare for my child.

We were told my kid needs to 'Man up' What the hell does that mean? My kid 'Man up' against Fred? You think I want the police called on him? If Stinky were to 'Man up' Fred would be in a world of hurt. Or we are to call the police, or talk to them. But don't knock on the door too hard! Goof is gonna prove them wrong and they are not gonna like it. Everything Fred does anything Goof will be there 'lightly' knocking and ringing their doorbell. Kioskman said he was willing to stand up for Fred, find then see how long that lasts. It was Babymama who told me Fred was a troubled boy, and she did not allow her boys to play with him much. Now she's willing to forgive and forget everything he's done, but not my child who has been nothing but polite to her. My child didn't tell anyone she needed to lighten up on the McDonald's cheeseburgers.

I am left angry by this meeting. My child was summarily attacked and called horrible names. No apologies were made towards him, even we were the first to offer apologies and willing to work things out. Stinky stuck his hand out and apologized to all around, while as Fred refused to take his hand, 'I'm not going to shake his hand after everything he did to me!' Um you shithead, you kicked my kid in the ribs just today in PE. Fred has decided he is a Victim, but he causes all the trouble on himself. Do not go about provoking my kid with harsh words or physical violence in the guise of PE, if you can't handle any comments about your mother being a meth addict. Oh that was another thing, the fat duo were offended and came up with a story about how his mother ended up as an addict. Oh so the mother was suffering since she was 23? 8 years of pain over the future death of the father? I was told I was wrong for saying 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree'. But again, it was acceptable for them to call mine a 'bad seed' and not apologize for it. My child did not lie when he spoke. Hers did. Also he stuttered and looked as if he was about to cry. That child needs to 'Man up' We had adult witnesses to two of Fred's physical attacks on Stinky. Didn't matter, Stinky was the aggressor in their eyes. Oh yea, Stinky took Fred's hands and hit himself with it. Fred didn't do anything he's a victim.

At a later date when things arise again with Fred, we will speak directly with Enabler. We do not need to have anymore interactions with the pair of liars. Yes, liars. As of now, I will be mowing my lawn in my bikini. I don't have to be polite to them, they've shown us what their opinions are, and I have the freedom of speech if I'm given the chance, of cutting bare all her insecurities. There are a lot of obvious insecurities I can have fun with.

More adventures in lawn maintenance

I moved the lawns on Friday in prep for the weekend and rains that came. With the new mower it's a dream. I was actually able to get it all done in a little over an hour front, sides and back. One thing that irritated me was Babymama's drama. As I was mowing the front yard, I saw something. It was in between the power box and light post on our property. A melamine Teletubby plate. I chipped the edge of the plate as I ran it over. At first from a distance I thought it was a paper plate. I picked it up and tossed it back on Babymama's side. Later that evening we saw Dramaqueen, Bug, and Fred on the lawns and Goof witnessed Dramaqueen tossing it back on our property. Goof stuck his head out the window and told them to pick it up. Dramaqueen responded 'We didn't do anything!' Goof told them to look over at our garage. We have it on closed network dvr. Want us to make a copy for your parents? They picked it up and took it in the garage. We went out that night and on coming back we saw the plate back on the edge of our property. Obviously we are dealing with a pain in the ass White trash bitch now. We have some ideas we will implement at a latter date. She obviously wants to be passive aggressive and that's fine with me. I know how to play that game. She's not gonna like us even more.

Bad Seed

Last week we had an encounter, and I did not respond well. I had complained about Babymama's kids and their lack of concern where trash is scattered. Tuesday morning I was in a grouchy mood as I watered the lawn and found popsicle wrappers on my lawn. Later that day after picking up Stinky and running to the store, I sent him out to grab the mail as I put the food stuff away and cleaned up the kitchen in prep for dinner. He decided to be pro-active and grabbed a stink bomb in case the boys gave him grief. Obviously this was not the best move on his part. He went out and grabbed the mail. While out Dramaqueen and Fred called him names, 'faggot' and 'asshole' were used. He replied by giving them the Italian fuck off hand gesture. Then he did something else. He ran up to the porch and threw his stink bomb on our walkway. It was a small glass vial. So the vial broke and it released it's noxious odor upon the front of my house. Dramaqueen and Fred were 30-50 ft away. They stood outside for a bit, then Dramaqueen went and told his mother. Babymama comes up to my door with infant on hip swaying side to side because her knees can't take the pressure. Hell, I wasn't sure my porch could take the weight. She accused Stinky of throwing a glass container at her children. I was so pissed off I saw red. After all the bullshit her children have done, this was the boiling point for her? She called Stinky a 'bad seed' Which pissed me off to no end. I held my tongue, I didn't lash out and call her names. That would not be mature. The best action would to have denied or apologized, but again, not my best mental clarity moment. She kept yelling at me, "Did you know he threw it?" So pissed off me said yes, and I allowed it to happen. Well I did, I saw him go for that bag with the stuff in it. He's done it before, thrown the plastic baggies, it was what I thought he grabbed. So she got pissed off and called the police on me. The cops came and Goof got home in time, so he had the officer relay our apologies to the evil bitch. Whether we meant it or not the situation warranted it, but I'm still pissed off. Her children are manipulative, miserable bastards, (yes they are illegitimate) I know my child isn't a perfect child, many of his actions were not the best choices. Can she say the same for hers?

So a few days later we had one heck of a laugh. We already know that Dramaqueen has stolen Stinky's crappy green and black Nerf football. Not gonna make a big thing of it, as it's sat in the corner of our backyard for almost a year. What had us going was that the Hillbilly girl went into Babymama's garage to get her soccer ball back from Dramaqueen. He had stolen her ball and she was quite upset about it. There was pushing and shoving in that garage. Obviously Babymama couldn't be bothered. The girl even yelled at Dramaqueen for threatening to call the police on her. Against her finding stolen property? She was quite loud and confrontational about it for a good fifteen minutes in the street. So this was immature of us, but Goof and I stood at the storm door and applauded. Goof said he was beginning to like that girl for standing up. Children follow the behaviors of their parents or guardians. Obviously we all in the cul de sac need to be better role models. We need to work on our elitist attitude. Not their fault they don't own their home, times are hard. It is their fault for not taking better care of the property and respecting neighbors and their property. It is their fault for not showing consideration of others in regards to what they do or don't do with their dogs. How we care for the property we own has been the same, keep the lawns neat, don't clutter the street with debris, and never let the dogs out unattended or let them defecate on other property.

Still confused about it all

Last night Goof and I were still mulling over the kids in the neighborhood issue. I know that we were and still are very protective of Stinky. Some things we got involved and should not have. Obviously many of the issues he had with Fred, didn't need our involvement. We thought it was good advice. Like I have said many times, we don't know what happened while we were away for my grandmother's funeral. It just seemed that we came from a sad occasion to suddenly Stinky being ostracized. Why? Because his great-grandmother passed away? It's pretty obvious that Dramaqueen said something to Babymama, and she made up her mind to actively act like a bitch. Interesting how that came about. Kiosk man seems to be one that prefers not to get involved. I find it funny that we realized Droopy likes to jump in for her child, and defend him even if he was wrong and there were witnesses to prove it. She believes her child even when given the truth of his lies. Her son is her window to the world as she doesn't leave her home. The same must go for Babymama. I don't keep track of her comings and goings, but I believe she does not leave her house much either. Not that I blame her, with small children underfoot. But to watch her incite and pleasurably allow her children to taunt my family is very upsetting. Is it her insecurities? Perhaps jealousy?

We worry about what the summer holds for him. It's not healthy for him to hole up in the house, he needs to go out and play, and make his own choices. From what we have seen, it seems Fred is more fearful of Stinky and the trouble that he could get into. Fred is a follower and he's following Dramaqueen. Stinky has made gestures of polite greetings to Dramaqueen, and has been ignored or taunted some way. Goof wondered if they would move soon, and I felt it would be a strange miracle if they did. If our theories are correct, her parents manage that property, and she helps out in return for a lower rent. Not that I blame her, if she's got 4 kids, and hubby works in retail with this economy she must be suffering. I'm sure her stimulus check will be well received. The older kids look to be wearing the same clothing as last year. Perhaps they didn't grow much.

So Babymama has gone out of her way to ostracize us. Funny thing is for the first month or so they ignored the hillbillies. That has changed since they realize we don't care for them. Basically if we never called the police or animal control about the hillbillies, they would have gone on ignoring them. Now it's obvious we don't think highly of them so it's acceptable for her children to play with them. Yea, good thinking. Or perhaps, it goes in waves, and she decides to ignore the hillbillies. Kinda hard to ignore them with the mess and noise they make.

In fact Saturday night we were up late. I had the tv on and was surfing the web. Goof had me mute the tv because he heard banging and yelling. He assumed it was coming from the street behind us, but I checked the front. There was a woman banging and yelling at the hillbillies house. This went on for a few minutes. Now this was past midnight. Goof called the police about it. There was a man and woman outside, their children were out and about in the front of the house, just too much for a quiet neighborhood. They came out, and stayed out with the hillbillies for quite a long time. It was past 2am when I went to bed, and the police cars were still there.

It's not like we or these renters got a chance to interview each other when we moved here. Our problem was we should have bought somewhere with less rentals. Not all renters get it that they need to maintain the property and not act like fools. For the reason they don't own the property. It's much easier for them to head out and find another place. Much harder for us to pull up and move.

1st for the year

I mowed my front lawn on Friday. Babymama mowed today. She had professionals come in and fertilize about 3 weeks ago. I fertilized 2 weeks ago, and again on Friday. Let's see how many times she mows in comparison? I went to the store just a bit ago. When I left Dramaqueen and Fred had left plastic cups on my lawn. When I came back I saw the cups still there, so I rolled down the passenger window and yelled at them to pick it up. Of course they ran to Babymama and told her I yelled at them. They came back with those damned cups again. Now they are chanting 'Cups cups cups magical cups' Crappy ass bastards. Goof saw Whinis out there, take a wrapped newspaper out of it's plastic sleeve, throw it behind him, then tear the newspaper and throw that up in the air too. Joy more to clean up off my yard. What crappy neighbors.

It's a Clown House covered in pee

Over the weekend Goof believes he's figured out how many people are there and who belongs to who in the hillbilly house. There is a husband and wife, with an 8 yo boy and the 12 yo girl. A pregnant woman with a boy approximately 6-8yo, and on the weekends there are 2 more boys one about high school age, the other uncertain. Let me remind you, this is a small house, a3Br, 2Ba. No wonder the 12 yo girl climbs on the roof. There is no room to breathe in there. Oh, the funniest part of the weekend. I happened to look out the storm door and I saw one of the younger boys come out behind the house to the side facing me, and undo his pants. You know what's coming right? Stinky happened to be snarking at the moment, and I yell out, "He's pissing on the house!" Goof and Stinky looked at each other in confusion, then it dawned on them what I meant. Oh the rush to the front door! Sure enough they saw him start turn and start again. Stinky potty trained outside too, but he was 3. We hosed down the plants he 'watered'. This is a kid that is 6 or 8 years old, who needed to go, and instead of pointing it at a tree, he pointed at the house. Also why did he decide to water on the right side of the house? There is nothing to hide him. If we saw him, the neighbors on either side of me saw him. I saw him from my front door!
One thing Goof mentioned last night and I really haven't thought about. We have not seen the younger children go to school. Well I don't keep an eye out and see if they leave at 7am for school, but I certainly don't see them come home with the other children. They could be home schooled,or go to a baby sitter. Who knows. We are still wondering about the legal limit in that house. What do you say? I mean they could say those not on the lease are just visiting short term.
Another note. Rough boy is moving. Stinky heard it from Whinis they are moving. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Rough boy nor his mother have ever addressed his breaking of Stinky's air gun, and Goof believes the last time Rough boy came in our house on the second snow day, he cracked Stinky's PSP with a drumstick. Lovely responsible boy huh? When I think mine is a shithead, I think about that one. So from what Stinky understood they are moving to Jonesboro. Oh goody Clayton county. That's a safe place now ain't it? On top of that, the school district is about to loose it's accreditation. A lot of mis management, and abuse from the school board, has led two school governing boards to revoke the accreditation, which means those kids in that school system will not be able to qualify for the Georgia Hope Scholarship for college, or for acceptance to colleges. No college will accept a student from Clayton county school district. That is jacked up. The county has very high crime, and sinking home values, this is just the last straw for the county. All those kids are basically being told to become criminals. The school board has ruined their chances of a decent future. Now what does that mean for Fayette county? More kids will apply to our schools. Some will do well and want to succeed, but there will always be the ones that don't care. Their parents may care, but they don't and will cause trouble in our schools. We are lucky that our school is really too far away from Clayton county. The other ones are closer. Also if these children are accepted into our schools, they will have to shoulder the burden of transportation. The buses will not pick up those children willy nilly. I'm sure the police will have a field day checking out all the plates.

Hillbillies Suck Ass

We renamed our WIFI. I have a moral belief it is wrong to jump on someone's wifi connection without permission. When I visit my mom and have my laptop with me, I use an ethernet cable to hook up to her modem. For whatever reason, her WIFI won't let me link up. It might be, that she doesn't know her passkey code for the secure modem. So I just bypass it and use a 100ft cable. Hey Stinky can use the laptop just fine in the living room, and the cable is bright yellow so you see it, and Mom does throw rugs over the cable to help prevent tripping.

Last Christmas the family convened at Mom's house. There were 4 laptops present besides mine. I don't know if all of them were linked up to a WIFI connection or not. But I know for certain they weren't hooked up on my mom's. Three of my cousins had jumped on a neighbor's unsecure connection. I just didn't feel comfortable doing that, so I did the awkward clumsy thing of a cable. It's rude, and I consider it theft.

Sunday, Goof and I were hanging out in the family room with our laptops. Stinky was upstairs on the tower playing his games. Goof got up, stretched and looked out the front door. What he saw made him mad. He saw Fred walking up and down the street with his Nintendo DS pointed at houses. He found a connection at our house. Goof saw him sit down on the power box and start playing on his DS. Goof immediately runs to his laptop and looks at the router. Sure enough what hardware has linked up on our connection? The Nintendo DS was showing up. Goof warns me, of the connection shut down, and that he's putting the passkey code back in place. He then runs back to the window, sees Fred shut his DS and get up off the power box. As he looks at our house, Goof waves at him.

Last year our WIFI was unsecured, but as soon as Goof saw Fred had gotten a PSP, he secured the connection. He had removed the security code when I told him my laptop was having trouble connecting, and he also needed to hook up the tower. So we forgot about the secure code for two weeks. When Goof saw Fred outside trying to jump on a connection he got mad. In fact he changed the name of our connection. We've never named it before it's always just been Linksys secure or unsecure connection. He thought hmm I should change the name to 'Fred sucks ass' but that was really immature for an adult, so it became, 'Hillbillies suck ass' Not that it's any better, but it's a general rude remark to those in our cul de sac that have hardware able to seek out a WIFI link. The passkey code is back in place, and it's a pretty obvious statement what we think of people that jump on WIFI without permission.

slightly sick kid

Stinky is home today feeling rather poorly. We hope it's a mild cold, and not what Goof has. Poor Goof came home last week miserable. No fever, but headache, sore throat, tightness in the chest, aches and pains. At one point he thought he had walking pneumonia. I think he's neurotic when he's sick, and exaggerates (hey it's ingrained from his mother, she thinks she has every emotional problem there is.) But he was sick and miserable. He's been sleeping a lot, and really whiny at night. Last week he was shivering and sweating in bed. I had to leave and sleep in the sewing room because of all the whining and groaning he was doing, and the bed was getting really damp. No he didn't pee the bed. This lasted 2 days. When he finally stopped having night sweats, I thoroughly washed and disinfected the bedroom.

Unfortunately Stinky is the new victim. He complained of a headache last night, and sore throat. This morning he still had his headache, and chest tightness, but no fever. He's been upstairs most of the day being bored, reading, and drinking fluids. One good thing we've acquired from this. He now likes apple butter again. He specifically asked for toast with it on. Well if your throat is scratchy, nothing like a piece of toast with butter, and fruit spread feels better. Unless it's Goof, then it's buttered toast torn in pieces, mixed with runny eggs sprinkled with salt and pepper. That's a hangover breakfast if you ask me.

I made a rich chicken stock last week to help Goof out, and I've made more today since Stinky has eaten most of it today. If he feels better tonight, perhaps he will eat pot roast otherwise more soup for him.

Oh, of course this blog is a rant about white trash neighbors, a little summary of the week so far. Stinky found out on Monday they found the intact bitch, and he got in over his head and said something he shouldn't have. He warned the girl to keep her dog off our property or he would kick the dog. Obviously he shouldn't kick the dog, but as he told her, the dog is on his property and barking at him. The girl got very defensive about it. Well of course she should. I'm sure she realizes something is not right. The true way to take care of this issue would have been for Stinky to remind her that it is the city code that prevents dogs from wandering loose about the neighborhood. If she was upset, then she would ask the city to change it's laws. We still haven't delivered the letter yet. So far, I have noticed the dogs out when they have the garage door open, and are wandering about the property. They are doing the bare minimum about control over the dogs.

Another thing I have seen is Whinis hanging out with the children. I'm sure he's gone in their home, and if necessary used the need to shit excuse to get in. Goof finds it rather funny and sad at the same time. Not my place to say, as long as they try and change their habits to proper law abiding citizens.

Speaking of law abiding citizens. I am a legal Georgia resident finally. I switched my license over. Talk about hanging on to the past. How can one face the future in their new home state if they don't give up their old license. Well hell, I gave up one crappy picture for another. Now I'm legal for 10 years. Honestly, why if given the choice of $20 for 5 years, or $35 for 10 years do people choose the shorter duration for their license? Now I understand the younger set, who live in apts or in college. No one wants to have a license with their parents' address on it still, when they are 28. Unless they still live at home. But if you are a home owner, and not planning on moving any time soon, why not? Goof thinks it's an issue of money, that extra $15 goes towards increased fuel costs. He's probably right. No excuse for my brother, he's still got a CA license and he's lived in Manhattan for 7 years. He says it's because he doesn't own a car. Well he's driving a rental paid by his company so what now?

So one of the first things I did as a GA licensed driver was to head over to Trader Joe's. Pretty sad huh? Well I was craving yellow curried chicken over rice. Where do I find good curry sauce? Why Trader Joe's of course. Plus I really love their Greek style yogurt. I am actually planning on making my own Greek yogurt as it is pretty simple. Strain plain yogurt of all extra fluid and get Greek yogurt. How hard can it be? I washed and sterilized the coffee strainer we don't use, and I'm planning on using that to hold the yogurt. After 24 hours, I should have some nice thick yummy yogurt to sprinkle berries and drizzle honey over.

Oh speaking of nice light healthy food. I about flipped my lid when I was doing some research yesterday. I was trying to make a food diary for myself and mentioned it to Goof. He suggested a program called Calorie King. He's had it for a few years, and said if I was interested he would give me the access code from his. I downloaded the 7 day trial program, and got to work inputting what I ate in a two day period. That was an eye opener. The program starts out asking simple questions, name, date of birth, height, weight, and age. The usual stuff. It calculates your BMI, then asks what you want to do, lose, maintain, or gain weight. It automatically goes to Lose weight. I can say this for a fact, because my BMI is on the lower scale for me, and it still went to the lose weight function. Now here is where it gets scary. If I were to lose weight, it would put me on a 1200 calorie diet. Maintain weight would give me a 1500 calorie diet. I didn't chose the gain weight option, so I'm assuming the caloric intake would be about 300 calories more.

So, I go through the food options and enter in what I ate on Tuesday. Holy shit! I ate 3419 calories! What did I eat? I'll tell you.
Breakfast;
3 silver dollar pancakes, homemade with 1 Tbs pancake syrup
8 oz coffee with non dairy creamer

Midmorning snack;
4 oz coffee with 1Tbs half & half, 1tsp sugar

Lunch;
large pot of Earl Grey tea with 1Tbs sugar, and 2 oz half & half
1/3 baguette sliced into 1/4 inch rounds with 2Tbs unsalted butter, 2 slices Havarti cheese, 3 radishes sliced, 2 shallots sliced, 3 deli thin slices of smoked honey ham
3 oz Greek yogurt, with 1 oz blueberries, 1 oz mixed berry granola, and 1 1/2 Tbs honey

Midafternoon snack;
1/4 inch round of baguette with unsalted butter, smoked honey ham, and Havarti cheese

Dinner;
6 oz Ocean spray Grapefruit and Tangerine juice
2oz slice of baguette, toasted and rubbed with olive oil and raw garlic clove
4 oz of pasta, tossed with olive oil, garlic, shallots, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
1 3/4 inch rib eye steak, broiled with olive oil spray, chopped garlic and shallots
4 spears asparagus, steamed

After dinner snack/dessert;
2 slices of Bosc pear
3 oz Greek yogurt
5 oz granola
1 oz blueberries
1Tbs honey
large pot of Earl Grey tea with 1Tbs sugar, 2 oz of half &half

Geez, I had consumed over 150gms of fat, 151gms of protein, 24gms of fiber, and 375gms of carbs. Pretty darn scary. No more granola for me. That was what threw my fat intake overboard. And here I was thinking I've been eating healthy. Yesterday I didn't eat as much granola, so I didn't go over my calorie limit as much. Gee 2100 calories is better. Of course my fat intake was still double, I had plenty of carbs, but not enough fiber. and just under the protein amount.

I think as the days warm up it won't be as frightening using this system, as I will be exercising more. Not that I exercise so much that it negates the extra calories I consume, but it will help me maintain weight instead of gain it.

It never crossed their minds?

The new renters are a pain. They tear up the greenbelt and lawns with their motorbikes, and golf cart. The intact bitch wanders around the neighborhood with her pups in tow. They defecate wherever they please. Now tell me where are the owners? Why they are in the house ignoring what they please.

This weekend was a trying one. Friday midafternoon, I ran an errand and came back to their dog on my property. It moved off the driveway before I drove up and luckily it didn't go into the garage when I pulled in. It did stay on my lawn and barked at me. I yelled at it to go away, and Stinky went so far as to grab a pack of firecrackers to scare it off the property. Well it didn't send the dog running away, but it was frustrating enough. I called Animal Control to make a complaint.

Saturday morning it was out and about again wandering around the cul de sac. Goof yelled at it to go away, and the renters just slammed their garage door shut. Gee, forget about the dog? Again, we called and complained. Sunday it was another day of disrespect. The bitch was out again and this time digging in Babymama's front garden. I'm not talking a little scratching in the dirt. This was full on dog intent digging! A big hole in the yard, and the man was ignoring what was going on dancing like a fool and talking on his cell phone, not more than 15 feet from the dog.

At one point Goof looked out the windows and saw the very quiet neighbor next to the renters talking quite emphatically to them. It seems they knocked the headlight loose on her son's car. They must have come to an agreement, because I saw that car leave and come back with a new headlight.

Later in the day, the man and his child were in the street playing while the dog was moving about the houses. Goof yelled out the window to the guy to keep his dog off our property. The man replied they were only playing. Which Goof, interrupted telling him, it didn't pertain to the issue. Dog off our property. Stinky and I left the house right after, and the guy even waved at me! You gotta be kidding right? I just gave a curt nod and left. Later that evening we noticed they were looking for the dog. Even got Big Red to join in the search. We think the dog finally was found or came back late in the evening, as we heard barking but it wasn't Babymama's dog.

A little sidenote here. Goof was really frustrated with it all, and we knew that Animal Control was not coming out to talk to them until Monday about loose dogs. Goof wrote a scathing two page letter to the renters. Basically telling them, that we own our home, and want to keep the neighborhood as nice as possible, no wandering loose dogs against city ordinances, and the peeing and pooping in on property not occupied by renters is not free toilet areas for the dogs. If the dogs persist, they will be held liable for a new lawn installation by us. He cited several ordinances from the city website. A formal letter to the renters that we would be notifying the city and the landlord for every infraction. He ended it by telling the cautionary tale of renters on the main street, who were just as bad as these people, and the result of forced eviction by the landlord following pressure from the city.

We were planning on putting this letter in their mailbox last evening, but since the dog was missing, we decided to wait and see. If they found their dog, would it change their behavior. Obviously, we want Animal Control to come out and remind them whether the dog is missing or not, they still do have the pups, and we don't want those mutts to continue in the bad habits.

This little cul de sac wasn't a bad place when we moved in. We checked it out at different times on different days to see what it would be like. It was quiet and there wasn't a lot of noise or tomfoolery going on. It seems the new renters are the problem. With the housing market the way it is, it's harder and harder for the landlords to unload the properties. Tenants coming in aren't the best ones. What's just difficult for us to see, are the different cars that come to the house all the time. So many people there, kids sitting on the roof. Seriously! I gather it's so crowded in there, the girl wanted some quiet breathing space. We joke that the house is relatively quiet during the day, but at night it's all coming and going.

Huh?

We had some heavy rains today. No tornadoes, just lots of rain, thunder and lightning. Just before the full potential of the storm reached us, Goof saw something that blew him away. The new redneck hillbilly neighbors were running around in their back and front yard. They rinsed their feet of the mud and debris by placing their feet under the gutter drain pipes. Well, their garage is fully packed with crap, and I don't think they have a laundry room. Goof thinks if nothing good is on tv watch them, it's more entertaining.

It never ends

When I started this blog, I really had no idea what it was about. Was it to be about my daily adventures in food? Nah, I'm not that creative and Goof gets rather staid in his tastes. Also I'd have to drive into Atlanta almost daily to get some of the really interesting ingredients the bubble just don't carry. So was it to be about work? Well I don't know, I don't work right now. What about school? If I was really honest with myself, school would take up all my time studying, or I would be procrastinating by reading some trashy novel. It's not about sewing. After a while, I get bored making the same things over and over again, in my quest to understand how fabrics, patterns, and alterations work. What does that leave me with? My constant complaining about the neighbors.

This blog is my rant against rednecks, hill billies, and basically trashy people with no concept of homeowners' pride. The rednecks have torn up their yard from the golf cart. The snow we had this weekend didn't help it any. Goof looked out the front windows Sunday night and saw 3 adults sitting on the roof smoking. Smoking what, we don't want to know. When they were done, they crawled back into the bedroom window. Go figure.

Sunday night, I got a text message on my phone. It was from Droopy. Someone called her husband's phone, and she assumed it was me. I text back, it was not me, and that her son came over Sat and I had taken care of him in his lack of snow preparations. Oh and he asked to take a shit in my house again. She got rather snippy. How can a person get snippy when they weren't there? Oh yea, I forgot she is a know it all, and invisible. She was there, I just didn't see her. The simple fact was that her son had no hat, frozen his fingers, and feet. I let him warm his fingers up, spared an extra pair of gloves, and gave him hot chocolate. He wanted in my house because his feet were numb, and I started to get pissed when he went grabbing for toys. I sent him home with the explicit directions to take his jacket, and change his socks for another 2 pair. I had no socks for him, or shoes. Not my problem if he's only got one pair. A bit of a snark, I told her she was welcome for checking on his welfare. Which led to another pissy text. AJ earlier in the week, had apologized to the kid for being rude to him. Not a 'hey let's be friends and hang out again thing' This kid has to force his way into a home. Go find another home to harass. This was the reasoning her kid took to come over and start his shit all over again? Hello, learn from your fucking mistakes. I was nice to you, in being a civil human. Your mother could learn to apologize. She sent another text telling me in her way that I was acting superior. Hello bitch, I'm not superior. I am an Elitist. You know, work hard and do right, to earn what you have? I'm proud of what I have, and I work for it. I didn't bother replying. As soon, as the first text had come from her, it made my blood pressure rise. I don't need a heart attack because of her. Goof was pretty amazed by the assholery this woman can accomplish.

Teenagers suck

God, my kid is driving me nutty. Last night Goof had a late day at work. Very stressful, and long. He called and asked if we could go grab takeout for dinner. Fine with me, it was leftover night. So over an hour later, he still wasn't home. I called him and he said he was on the way, and to make it Smokey Bones for dinner. Alrighty then. Grabbed Stinky, and put the dogs down in their room, Goof comes home changes and off we go.

Stinky tells us about his day, his report card, and an interesting tidbit about Babymama's boy Eldest and the new neighbors (we'll get back to that in a minute). Make ourselves comfy at the restaurant, order our appetizers and dinner, and relax for a bit. Appetizers come, it's nachos and their cornbread. As we are digging in, Stinky cries out, "Hey, you are taking all the good stuff!" So I grab a pile and place the condiments on it and put it on his plate. He then puts it back on my plate and says, "I got some, I can serve myself!" WTF? Which led me to complain about teenagers, complaining about not being treated like a kid, then getting pissy when you do. Which led him to laugh at me. The rest of the night was filled with the usual teen angst. The ignore me when I tell him to take out the garbage. The bitch and moan because it's past 9pm and all electronic devices are off. The bitchfest about the hour before bedtime is too long to read (Gee, when you were on restriction, this was all that was available and you appreciated it!) More bitching because it was past bedtime and he wanted to eat. God, he made me want to tear my hair out.

This morning there was more bitching. Choosing an apple and a soda instead of a real breakfast, because he wanted pancakes. When I asked if I should make pancakes, he ignored me and continued bitching. Pancakes made, and more bitching because he wanted to use a disposable hot cup for his hot chocolate instead of a mug. He wanted to take it to school. Hello, no. Those cups are for Goof. He never remembers to bring home the travel mugs, and he pays for the damned cups. Bitching because he had to finish his pancakes, and hot chocolate, then take out the trash he didn't last night. More bitching because Goof took the German Toaster to work. Complaining because the truck has a small cab, anything and everything that came out of his mouth was a complaint. Geez, I need to really shake things up for him. He's living the typical spoiled life. I am gonna make him sleep in the basement tonight if he gives me any grief when he gets home. That ought to straighten him out. He's scared of the basement. It's dark and he's a wimp.

Oh back to the tidbit. Yesterday was the first day of school for the neighbors. They had lived in town and gone to the other middle school. The girl has one class with Stinky. She also told him that Eldest told her, Stinky had tried to kill Fred. Of course Stinky laughed it off. So Eldest's new name is Dramabitch. I can so see what Dramabitch told Babymama.... " And, and, Stinky, he, he threatened Fred, and then he, then he, tried to kill him, and, and, Fred ran away, and, and he yelled at me, but, but, but, I didn't back down, and, and, he didn't touch me." Sure, my kid tried to kill Fred, the one who was picking on Dramabitch, and Stinky stood up for him getting kicked and shoved several times. Dramabitch who stood on our property to watch us eat, to cause shit by laying on the dividing line of the front yards while Stinky was blowing leaves. Goof says it makes sense. If Babymama is such a scared bitch that she calls the cops at any little noise when Kiosk man is not home, and leaves her dog out all day and into the late night to bark, to protect her and annoy the neighborhood, what makes us think that Dramabitch isn't like her. Seriously Babymama is HEFTY. Fall on someone and she does them more harm than herself. I honestly believe a criminal will think twice about accosting her. Women with children tend to get very mama tiger protective. The sheer size of her and with her toddlers in tow, ought to warn criminals away. I've known Nervous Nellys, and they do have a legitimate right to be such, but come on, we live in a really safe neighborhood, trashy because of the hillbillies, but only a mile from the police station.

Trash gone

This morning as I'm shivering near the front windows, I noticed the trash was gone. I gather they found someone to take it all away in the middle of the night. The code enforcement officer called me back late yesterday afternoon. She had a long talk with the new renters, which leads me to the belief that, they know who these renters are, and may have a history with them. The landlord was out of state supposedly. I told her, 'Hey, it's all a matter of keeping the neighborhoods clean, and safe. We were gone out of town for the holidays too, and when we came back, we noticed the old renters packing up late at night. Then not even a few hours after they left the new renters are moving in. No physical inspection from the landlord? Well obviously no one was expecting a refund of deposit. The officer had even told me that trash service was suspended for non payment from the old renters. Gee, that's not good. The trash on the curb was probably both food, and discarded dump material, toys, large-ish household items. I'm sure that there was trash from both renters, and it was all blamed on the prior renters. Nothing for it, but to keep an eye on the house. It's not a coyote house thank goodness, but still, no need for any possible illegal activities to occur there.

Goof made a comment about how Babymama wishes they were neighbors like us. We maybe bordering on acting like asshole homeowners, but at least we maintain our property. Hmm perhaps we are like the previous owners, all concerned about their property's appearance, and lack of patience with ill mannered children. Owning a home is a big responsibility. It's an investment. Interesting that Enabler doesn't see it that way. Her home exterior looks pretty run down.

A new neighbor to piss me off

There was a family renting a home on the main street of our subdivision. They use to piss me off. We called them the Redneck hillbillies. They always had trash or something on their front lawn. They even tied their dog up in the front. It's not like they didn't have a backyard. Many times we'd see the dog wandering loose in the neighborhood.

Well there is a house on my street, that was up on the market. I gather the landlord pulled it off the market and decided to rent to another family. This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home looking at the size of it. They were occupied by a family of 5. The kids were the ones that pooped in the street and was chased by Lulu. We gather the landlord must have raised the rent causing them to move. Goof always said, they could be worse neighbors. He is so right.

So the old renters left during the New Year's weekend. They didn't even clean the place. Piled all their trash on the curb and left. A lot of trash! The new renters started moving in the next day. The first indication this was not going to be a pleasant family was that we saw 3 kids, who all look under the age of 14 doing donuts on their front and back yards in their golf cart. If they weren't on the grass, they were doing donuts in the street. Driving up Babymama's driveway to do donuts on the side yard. Not a good first impression. Legally here children 12 and up may drive the carts with a legal age guardian on the cart with them.

They moved in over the course of 3 days, taking many trips using a 3 yard trailer. They must have lived fairly close in town prior because it was taking them about 20 min each trip. So now they have moved in, and the kids are still doing donuts on the lawns, while whatever adults are doing their own thing, coming and going from the house. They have a dog that has wandered the street unsupervised. Joy, I now worry about hitting a black dog at night when I run to the store.

The garbage collections came on Monday and today. There is still a huge pile of trash on the curb and it's blowing around. The drunk up the block has gone picking over the trash pile today, and I'm disgusted by this all. I had a new mindset about neighbors. It wasn't a resolution really, but trying to form a new attitude about the neighbors. They leave us alone, we leave them alone. Hard to do this if we've got another dog that will piss on my front lawn. I'm trying to keep the stuff alive in this drought, Damn it! I'm not sure how many people live in the house as we've seen a lot of people come over to the house.

This is what you get when you land in the state and have less than 2 months to find a house in the proper school district. You find a house you like, but don't get to research enough about the neighbors. I must be in one of Dante's circles of hell, is it the third for glutton or the fourth for material goods? It is not the first as I have taken a stand for God, and I do wave a banner for him. I just don't wave one for organized religion. Is there a way out of this? With the housing market the way it is now, it will take another 3 or 4 years for it to recover, and with the subprime loan debacle, it will never be so predatory thank God.

So anyways, I felt there was no choice but to call code enforcement. I hope they find out who the landlord is, and makes her pay for the prompt removal of the trash. If she makes the prior renters pay the costs, it's not my issue. It was their junk to begin with. I can only hope these people change their habits quickly or leave just as quickly.
